Riding-in-tandem strikes anew in Calbayog
CALBAYOG CITY, Samar -- Another fatal shooting in broad daylight by riding-in-tandem left two people dead on Thursday morning here. Jovento A. Arcayos, 43, and Danilo D. Tubaña, 37, both residents of Catarman, Northern Samar, died on the spot after unidentified riding-in-tandem gunmen fired at them around 07:45 a.m. along the diversion road in Purok 4, Barangay Bacagay.

CALBAYOG CITY, Samar -- Two boulders smashed into a shanty, killing a nine-month pregnant mother and her 12-year-old daughter on Saturday in a village along Maharlika Highway in this city. Instantly killed were Marife Monteves, 37, and daughter Danica, of Barangay Cagnipa, a village about 27 kilometers from the city.
