Pacete: Night tour to remember
WEDNESDAY evening in Silay, Maricar Dabao, the president of the Association of Tour Guides in Negros, brought her ‘barkada’ to Silay to join our ‘another kind of tour’ focused on light subjects and tattle tales. Hospital cashier found dead in Talisay
THE cashier of Teresita Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City was found dead in the seaside of Sitio Mambukog, Barangay Zone 16, Talisay City. Jun Iligan, 36, was identified Thursday by his family. His body was recovered Wednesday and was named Mr. X by the Talisay City Philippine National Police, as no one claimed his body. read more
Bacolod youth plant mangrove seedlings to protect environment
BACOLOD City, Jan. 28, 2012—The Commission on Youth of Bacolod diocese spearheaded a mangrove planting activity in Barangay Balaring, Silay City last January 21. Led by DCY director Fr. Arnold Deletina, the youth planted around 600 mangrove seedlings. Participants were composed of 10 DCY staff, 27 youth from Silay City`s San Diego Parish, 15 parishes, 3 youth groups and 7 schools. read more
