AFTER vintage bombs were detonated at the Biga Pit in Toledo City, the site is being eyed as a disposal site for coal combustion waste from coal-fired power plants. Biga Pit is the decommissioned mining area of the Carmen Copper Corp. (CCC). Mandaue City Regional Trial Court Judge Marilyn Lagura-Yap raised the proposal in an order dated Jan. 26.
